    1. Good Morning Mahender, As of now seeing Option Data, maximum OI at 6000CE and 5600PE, indicates Nifty may test 5980-6000 levels on the higher side and then may remain within 5600-6000 range.

    2. Okay Sunil, Thanks for sharing.

      This is what my understanding based on what you shared.
      -> enter PE's around 5950/6000?
      -> enter CE's on dips at 5650/5700?

      What do you suggest based on that Data? Please share you views?

    3. Most Welcome. Exactly, That should be the strategies for DEC.

      Those are part of the Trading.

      What are you views on SBI , can you provide Support/Resistence for Dec Expiry?

      I'm holding 2200CE Dec@47.

      Have a good day.

    5. Hi SR,
      Good Morning,
      That strategies are ok but we'll have wait for the breakout on either side.
      By that time will it be advisable to enter Nifty strangle
      buying 6000CE & 5600PE at a slight correction of Nifty 5800.
      Thanks

    6. Most Welcome Mahender, That was indeed bad luck. SBI gave a breakout today above 2145, can see 2211, 2259. Support currently near 2075.

      Good Morning Krishna, Long Strangle would not be advisable, but you may enter a short strangle on the same.

    7. Hi SR,
      Sir, will you pl. clear the short strangle of which nifty options?
      Thanks

    8. Hi Krishna, Short strangle is when you short sell 6000CE and 5600PE instead of buying them. If Nifty expires within the range, we profit the entire premium as both will expire zero. However please note option selling also known as option writing is a high risk activity and should only be traded with expert supervision.

      Happy Trading!

    Do you think Nifty will come down a little bit from today's high before moving up further? I am looking for an entry point for 6000ce. Thanks.

    1. Avoid entering PE for intraday. We may likely see a range bound session today.

    1. Hi SR,
      Overall, if the Nifty is in positive trend mood and likely to touch the expected target e.g 6000 from 5800-5840, then Long Nifty strangle would be effective & profitable.
      Otherwise in selling/correction mood from the top e.g. from 6000-6050 to touch a target of 5800, the short strangle will be applied. Is it ok sir?

    1. Hi Mahesh, Can enter 6000CE on dips. The Positional Call given is a hedged call. So we need not worry even if Nifty goes down.

  14. Hai Sunil Ji.. want to enter sbin 2350 CE.. is it ok, or wait till monday ?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi Sunil, why have you recommended a strangle and not a normal position?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Paritosh, Its a hedged call. We need not bother about downside as the SL would be deeper near 5800

      Delete
    2. Alright... already holding 5700PE (in small loss). What shall I do, use them to hedge my calls or exit on dips on Sunday and take your call, if hedging with current positon, in what ratio? Thanks as always!!

      Delete
    3. Hi Paritosh, Try to exit PE on dips. Do not hedge options with options as they both may decay down to zero if markets remain range bound. Nifty has given a major breakout on weekly charts and is set to head to 5976 and 6450 very soon. But the confirmation of the breakout would be to sustain above 5815 another week. So better to enter hedged futures to enjoy good profits if Nifty breaks out into a bull run.
