    ReplyDelete
  17. Ok, then upto what level we can hold our Nifty longs

    ReplyDelete

  19. Hi SR,

In the nifty short strangle , for each switch we are loosing 20 points, irrespective of nifty moving up or down. So, our premium of 250 points at the beginning may end up in loss if we do about 12 switches.Am I right ?

    ReplyDelete
  20. @ravi Short strangles are best during flat/range bound markets. During sharp rallies, we don't get opportunities to capitalize on decay. We will need to wait till markets turns flat/range bound again. (Generally near major resistances/supports)

  33. Sunilji just recd. this msg. what u say??

    ReplyDelete
  34. This breakdown shows first signs of weakness setting in. However, I feel Nifty will likely test resistance before going down. Target for longs at 5924.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Went for lunch and SL hit :(

    Should I exit now?

    ReplyDelete
  36. if you are holding CE at zero-risk, hold it, Nifty may likely test 5924-35 before heading south. Can keep positional SL at 5830

    ReplyDelete
  37. i squared off around 6100CE around 27 yesterday and reentered today @25 in small qty. Zero risk - depends on your point of view but i can afford to lose some as the qty is low, so I guess, I'll hold.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ok. that's fine. However add a few PEs on any bounce as well.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I am planning to enter puts around 5920, please correct this if required. Also, if possible, suggest a put to enter with high RR Ratio. Thanks for the guidance.

  40. Please suggest a PUT, shall I go with 5700PE?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Nifty Futures come in premium. Buying interest being seen. Keep caution on shorts.
