Hi SR, I want to share you one thing.. I am crazy about share market. It always affect my profession. I am a b.tech from computer science. That why my father wants that I should only do job in my stream. But due to share market, I always use to see it. I have interest only in this market. I don't have interest in my stream. I open my laptop in the morning and close it after 3.30pm. I always do lunch after 3.30.. I was in a job. There i always used to see the price of shares and nifty. Due to that my boss was not happy with me. So i have to resign the job. Now share market is in my blood. what should i do? Please suggest..
Hi Vibhor, Financial Markets are full of risks. It is not recommended to make it a full-time career. However, if you have good experience in the markets clubbed with strong financial discipline, you can make an excellent career in the financial markets. Weigh your pros and cons and then take a firm decision.
Sir I am holding remaining 50% i.e. 10 lots of Nifty 6100 calls (@ 16 each), SBI 2400 call (bought @ 42) . Shall I exit these calls @ 5920 or hold little longer.
Hi sbrj, Strong hands generally short options. So high OI on any strike generally acts as a resistance/support. At this moment, Highest OI is in 6000CE and 5900PE indicating range bound movement within these levels.
Generic Question : Assume I want to short NIFTY xMONTH 6200 CE (while NIFTY trading at 6000), What is the amount that I need to have in myaccount for shorting it? (As far as I know some percentage NIFTY and strike is used in for calculating the margin amount, but not sure exactly, please clarify)
Hi Mahy, Margin requirements for shorting options as per Zerodha: 1. For ITM options is full and is equal to the margin needed for futures. 2. For ATM options, 20% rebate on the full margin 3. For OTM options, 30% rebate on the full margin.
Good Morning All... Having Net issues... May not be available till later in the day.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sunil.
ReplyDeleteOkay, Have fun.

DeleteAh I need to read it :p
Hi Mahy,
DeleteMargin requirements for shorting options as per Zerodha:
1. For ITM options is full and is equal to the margin needed for futures.
2. For ATM options, 20% rebate on the full margin
3. For OTM options, 30% rebate on the full margin.
For intraday, 60% rebate on all margins
As per my understanding, it depends on broker to broker as well. Okay, Thanks for the information Sunil.
