  3. @Ravichandran Ranganathan Good Morning. Have a Good Day you too. :)

    ReplyDelete
  4. Good Morning. Wait for first 15mins. If Nifty breaks above 5911, can go long with SL of 5911.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Sunil Sir

    can we short Nifty now

    ReplyDelete
  6. Sir,

Market not able to hold 5911 , now 5900 , shall we go with 5700 PE for long?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Good Morning SR and all here.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Good Morning Sirji !

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hi SR & All, Good morning

    Nifty Buy at what level?

    ReplyDelete
  10. @Kris hna Buy only above a clean breakout above 5911.5 (that is low of the bar is above 5911.5 and is a bullish bar) with SL at 5911

    ReplyDelete
  11. Nifty is now range bound bet. 5900-20, how do we know a clean breakout above 5911.5?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Good morning SR and all.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sunil Sir,

view on JP Associates..can we short at current levels..

    ReplyDelete
  14. SR - VIX above 18. USD/INR - 57.50. How come our market in green?

    ReplyDelete
  15. The bar needs to close above the high of last 3-4 bars with close near the high of the bar and low must be above 5911.5

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sir,

Shall we go with 5700 PE now?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Target for nifty is 5700 in MAY series. Be cautious with your longs. Keep buying puts with sl of 5930.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Positional target for PEs: 5836.60
    Positional target for CEs: 5971.54

Trend as per Last session favours PE

    ReplyDelete
  19. Must be June.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Combination of CEs and PEs do not matter much. Its their value that has to be taken into consideration. A day closes near day high. CEs IV are high, so we reduce our CEs and we give an add-on level for the next day. The values of PEs have already depleted and enough to hedge our remaining position. In case the next day opens gap-up and moves further, we are still in our trade. On the other hand, if trend reverses the next day, we are saved a major loss due to the high change in the option IV.

    ReplyDelete
  21. CEs IV or options IV, sir plz give meaning of "IV" in this place?

    ReplyDelete
  22. OK Sir, But its not so easy to understand at my level as the premiums of option are changing continuously. However let it be tested practically. Welcome sir for your approach.

    ReplyDelete
  23. IV stands for implied volatility. Futures and Options tend to foresee breakouts and breakout targets. If a day closes near day-high, calls will have a higher value than their fair value as most traders expect a gap-up the next day. Its only wise to take some money off the table at that time. Take the case of 05/03/2013, 6000CE closed at 25. The next day, a gap-up and consolidation, 6000CE closed at day high near 38. The next day again consolidation most of the day and 6000CE tested 19 (day low), but near end of day went up to close at 56 :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Its simple with Auto Channels, our caution level is a great indicator, options generally are underpriced below the caution level and overpriced above the entry level. :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sunil Sir,

Plz share your view on LIC HF 280 CE

    ReplyDelete
  26. Its currently trading flat. If it sustains above 269 (on hourly closing), can test 274. Support and SL below 264.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hi Sunilji Good Morning. You r doing great works every day. Wish you all the best in all your endeavours.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sunil sir,

holding JPassociates 60PE from 65 levels..pls suggest when to exit..can we see 62 today

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi SR
Thanks for earlier reply. 5830 will be taken out today or tomor for sure, watch dollar, omg new high
Coming to your new strategy,it is good but options loose premiums with nearing expiry so if market is in consolidation phase, both sides will be loss.
My request for you is to predict the trend and ride along with sl

    ReplyDelete
  30. Guys,
DONT hold long positions strictly, very very risky to your capital. Nifty will fall more than 100 points today or tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  31. SL works for spot, not for f&O. Risk/reward ratio is always high. For options, if you keep a SL, its bound to trigger most of the times even when the trend is strong. With options, you always limit your max risk, as such you may do away with SL. Yes, options do loose premiums nearing expiry. As such, we switch to next series 2-weeks before expiry. When you hold positions in both directions and add positions in the favouring trend, you will NEVER loose. (Back-tested with 3 years options data).

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thank you for your great effort SR. It will really help novice traders like me.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sunil sir..
    INR is at 57.80
    Vix is above 18
Rate Cut won't be there for sure
in spite of all these Nifty is not breaking 5870, is this strength or a 100point break is expected soon..

    ReplyDelete
  34. ok,then no problem. then it is fine. all the best SR..

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nifty has very strong supports in this region of 5830-5880. Breaking this would be tough. However, a break may trigger a 200 points fall. As such keep positions hedged.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sunil sir,.
how is United Spirits looking..getting good suppot around 2480-90 levels..
can we enter fro long here

    ReplyDelete
  37. Its in a consolidation phase. Wait for a positive close above 2515 to enter fresh longs.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sunil sir,

    when to enter 6100CE

    ReplyDelete
  39. For our new Option Trading System, we will trade in units.

    What are units?
As per your risk appetite and your trading capital, you may chose your unit size. We may at most hold 4 units. So if your unit size is 3000/-, so you should have a trading capital of at least 12,000/-. So if its recommended to buy 2 units of CE, you need to buy ATM/OTM options worth 6,000/- (keep a 10% lower margin to accommodate options 5400-6000 in this case).

We will resize our favourable units at targets or at day-end.

    Current Targets for CE: 5971.54
    Current Targets for PE: 5836.60

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wait for a sustained breakout above 5911.5.

    ReplyDelete

  44. @Guest Good afternoon. Say, its recommended to buy 1 unit of CE and your unit size is 5000. And say spot is near 5910 and 6000CE is near 57, and 6100CE is near 28, and 6200CE is near 14, you may buy 1x6000CE + 1x6100CE + 1x6200CE for a nett value of 4950 (within 4500-5000).

    ReplyDelete
  45. Sunil sir,

    ReplyDelete
  47. Wait till day end for entering fresh trades

    ReplyDelete
  48. We will enter trade for only one direction near day-end. We will take the trade in other direction only on a trend change the next day.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Sunil sir,

it seems Nifty is respecting 5980 levels..does that signal support around that levels..i guess INR weakness is getting digested...Nifty might take support around current levels and move up..

    ReplyDelete
  50. Nifty seems to break down as its seeing selling pressure at higher levels.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hi Sir,
    Good evening :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hello SR,

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hold puts with same sl 5930 and hold for 2 more days. rupee may fall to 59 in this week.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Buy 2 units of PE. Target: 5836.6, 5820.64
If not holding previous CE, Buy 1 unit of CE

    ReplyDelete
  61. Apology for asking again. is our unit size is rs 6000.00?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Holding 5700 PE & 6200 CE.. Is that ok Sir?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Its up to your risk appetite and trading capital. You may choose your unit size. At most we will hold 4 units. So need to have capital for 4 units.

    ReplyDelete
  64. OK Thanks Sir..
Bye for the day n see u tomorrow :)

    ReplyDelete
  65. Sunil Sir,

for example If unit size is 6000 rs then should we go with 1 * 5700 PE + 1 * 5600 PE like wise ....!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. If unit size is 6000, 5800PE is 51, 5700PE is 27, 5600PE is 14 and you need to buy 2 units, you may buy 4x5800PE + 1x5700PE or 9x5700PE or any other combination so that the nett value is within 11200-12000.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Sir I am holding 30 lots of 6200 CEs (@ 18 each) and 6 lots of 5800 PEs (@ 56 each) . Please advice.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Thanks for the details sir, So if my unit size is 6000 rs,then my total investment would be around 18000 . ( As per ur advice we need to enter 2 PE and 1 CE ).

    ReplyDelete
  69. Book profits in 4 lots of 5800PE at 5836.6. Then wait for next entry for PE,

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yes, We may at most hold 4 units. so adjust your unit size accordingly.
